Dallas Arboretum Memorial Day Weekend

In honor of our armed forces, the Dallas Arboretum offers free admission into the main garden on all four days of Memorial Day Weekend for active-duty members and veterans of the United States military — as well as first responders with a valid photo ID. On Memorial Day, the celebration continues with face painting and a petting zoo in the Pecan Grove. Enjoy $2 hot dogs and $2 root beer floats at the Terrace Café.

North Texas Vegan Potluck & Picnic

Join us in Grapevine for the third Annual North Texas Vegan Potluck & Picnic on Saturday, May 12!

Trawick Pavilion offers basketball, sand volleyball, lake access for swimming, a children’s playground, and more!

Payment includes vegan burgers and hot dogs and helps pay the fee for reserving the pavilion.

Please be prepared to bring a vegan dish as well. You’ll be prompted to sign up for a potluck item after you submit payment for the event.

We’re looking forward to gathering vegans from all over the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for food and fun in a central location on Lake Grapevine!

Tickets are $6 per adult ($8 after May 4) and $4 for children ages four through 17 ($6 after May 4). Children three and younger get in free.

President’s Day Weekend at the Dallas Arboretum

Spend President’s Day weekend at the most beautiful place in Dallas. Active and retired military receive free admission from February 17 through February 19 (proper identification required at the gate). Sample craft beers with Manhattan Beer Project on Saturday, February 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sample wine and enjoy live music by Bruce Wilder on Sunday, February 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Jam out to classic rock band Rushmore Band on Monday, February 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn. The Dallas Arboretum offers $2 hotdogs, $2 cherry pies, and $5 admission through February 24.
