Calling All Future Doctors

Kids love to dress up and to play doctor! This innovative six-hour program over three Saturdays encourages children (ages five through 12 years) to do this as they explore the exciting world of medicine. Using interactive demonstrations, role playing, crafts, and games, kids learn how the body and organs work and how to use instruments that real doctors use. In this program, children take home a real medical stethoscope and are awarded a graduation diploma at the end of the program.

Topics include:

  • What’s in the Doctor’s Bag?
  • All About the Heart!
  • Digestion Fun!
  • All About the Lungs!
  • Is there a Surgeon in the House?

Fort Worth Zoo Play Date: Summer Bucket List Challenge

For the 2018 Summer Bucket List Challenge, host Chelsey Arnal will join attendees for an afternoon of connecting with moms, getting out of the house (you can still wear your daily yoga pants!), cheering each other on, and finding joy in the long days of summer! Meet at the Fort Worth Zoo Splash Pad! $5 plus the cost of zoo admission. Let’s have a fun day with the animals.

Chisholm Park Play Date + Fit4Mom Stroller Barre Class: Summer Bucket List Challenge

For our Summer Bucket List Challenge we are uniting moms around the country! We know how hard motherhood can be and doing it along friends and other supportive mamas makes it that much easier!

Your local host, Lauren Stockard, will be joining you for an afternoon of connecting with moms in your area, getting out of the house (you can still wear your daily yoga pants!) and cheering each other on as we find joy in the long days of summer!

This is an extra special play date because you get a FREE Fit4Mom Stroller Barre Class! Meet in front of the playground at 9:00 a.m.! Then enjoy coffee and snacks after class! Anyone is welcome during and/or after class!

Bring your kids in the stroller, water, and a yoga mat if you have one! Or just come for the snacks after class!

Rocking, Popping Parachutes

Let’s rock, pop, and keep that parachute moving. Parachute play is a fun, healthy way to build vocabulary and promote teamwork and social skills. Enjoy the music, games, and stories at this fun-filled, hour-long program. 

Learning Objective: Participants will use verbs (lift, jump, walk) and prepositions (under, over, beside) while engaging in a physical activity that provides an opportunity for enjoyment and challenge.

This activity is free, open to the public, and requires no registration.
