While you are coming off of the sugar high that is Halloween candy, think of all the adorable hand-traced turkeys that will soon be adorning your fridge. It’s November, y’all! Like always, Fort Worth Moms Blog has some events to tell you about happening this month in our latest edition of “Around Cowtown.” Don’t forget to check out our events calendar to submit a family-friendly activity or see the latest additions.

Texas Gospel Music Festival — 2:00 & 7:00 p.m. // The voices of what might as well be angels come from an extensive lineup of gospel groups and solo acts at the Texas Gospel Music Festival.

November 3-5

Romanian Food Festival — 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. // It’s all about authentic food, music, activities, and more food. Saint Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church created this appetizing experience with Romanian food, traditional music, animated dance performances, and cultural events.

November 4-12

Evita — 2:00, 7:30, & 8:00 p.m. // Follow the story of Eva Peron as she rises from humble beginnings to the First Lady of Argentina. 

November 10 & 11

Willie Nelson and Family — 9:00 p.m. // The 84-year-old country legend has booked back-to-back shows at Billy Bob’s. Get tickets before they are gone!

November 8-12

Lone Star Film Festival — 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. // Perfect for any film buff, come see what the next big thing in cinema is or might be. 

November 14-19

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas — 7:30 p.m. // A song-and-dance team puts on a show in a  Vermont inn and end up falling for a sister act. Come see a fantastic holiday show at the Bass Performance Hall. 

November 21-22

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical — 1:30 & 7:30 p.m. // Based on the claymation movie, Rudolph jumps from the screen to the Bass Hall stage in this wonderful holiday musical. 

November 17 – January 15

Panther Island Ice — 3:00 – 10:00 p.m. // Strap on your skates and get into the holiday spirit. Panther Island sets up an ice-rink inside the Coyote Drive-In, so you can make a night of it!

November 18-19

Funky Finds — 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. // Shop handmade & support your local economy with over 100 artists, crafters, designers, authors & gourmet food makers. Event also features photos with Santa and a charitable raffle with all proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of North Texas and DFW Toys for Tots.

November 24 – December 23

Santa Claus: A New Musical — 1:00, 2:00, 5:00, & 7:00 p.m. // Casa Mañana tells the story of the ups and downs of Santa trying to find a replacement as he is retiring after 1,000 years. 

November 24 – December 31

Texas Christkindl Market — 5:00 – 11:00 p.m. // Inspired by German tradition, the Texas Christkindl Market near Globe Life Park is one of the largest open-air holiday markets in the Southwest. Come shop for gifts and holiday decoration and eat some authentic German cuisine and holiday beverages.

November 25 – December 23

North Pole Express — 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. // Take a train ride with music, sleigh bells and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Movie in the Park — 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. // Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a drink and watch a movie at Heritage Village Plaza. 

November 4

Bazaar at the Bend — 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. // Get in the holiday spirit and all the gifts on your list at WestBend’s first Bazaar at the Bend. Join WestBend and Fort Worth Makers, who will be hosting a handcrafted gift market, for a day of live music, shopping, gift workshops, styling sessions, charity gift wrapping stations, and more. 

Arlington Medieval Arts Festival — 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. // People put on old-time costumes and demonstrate what life was like back in the middle ages. They’ll play with period weaponry, tell exciting stories, and put their medieval arts on display.

TCU/UT Tailgate Party at The Shops at Clearfork — 1:00 p.m. // Visit The Shops at Clearfork Plaza (across from Neiman Marcus) for a tailgate party to cheer on your favorite team – are you a TCU or UT fan?! The event will be fun for the whole family, featuring face painting, balloons, games, food, beer & wine and more!

November 11

Canyon Falls Fallapalooza — 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. // Celebrate the grand opening of the Hay Barn and Pooch Park with activities ranging from ziplining to s’mores to a scavenger hunt!

November 19

XTO Energy Parade of Lights — 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. // Come see spectacular, never-before-seen floats, giant illuminated balloons, antique cars, marching bands, horse-drawn carriages, and groups of carolers that will create the perfect “Postcard Christmas.”
