School is out! Summer is here, and it’s time to get your game plan in order. We all know that summer can be a little bit stressful at times, but ultimately it’s about sun, fun, and family memories. June 2 – July 8

Concerts in the Garden — 8:15 p.m. // Spend a night under the stars listening to the great music of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. With nights dedicated to Elvis, Abba, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, video games, Star Wars, and more, there is bound to be something for the whole family.

June 3-11

Rock of Ages — Saturday 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.; Sunday 2:00 p.m.; Tuesday – Thursday 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 8:00 p.m.; Sunday 2:00 p.m. // It’s a battle for the right to rock! See all of your 80s rock classics come to life at Casa Mañana as you watch Sherrie and Drew fall in love and chase their dreams of making it big. 

June 4-25

Cowtown Coliseum’s – Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show!! — Every Sunday at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. // Round up your kids and enjoy a reenactment of the original Pawnee Bill’s Wild West show! Fun for the entire family featuring animals, spectacular performers with ropes, bullwhips, pistols, and even a singing cowboy.

June 8, 15, & 29

Sid’s Story Time — 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. // Come down to the Sid Richardson Museum for story time. Each story will be followed by a fun gallery activity. 

June 1

Animal Exploration — 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. // Discover the habits and adaptations of a native animal during a live animal observation with a River Legacy Naturalist.  

June 3

Kids Obstacle Challenge — 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. // An adventure and obstacle course for kids ages 5-16, with 10-15 fun and challenging obstacles, and lots of mud. The best part? Parents get to run with their kids for free!

June 11

Backyard Composting — 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. // Teach your young kids about the importance of keeping the Earth green through composting at the River Legacy Living Science Center. 

Nature Walk — 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. // Explore the nature trails surrounding the River Legacy Living Science Center on a guided Nature Walk.

June 12

Monday Matinees: Homeward Bound – The Incredible Journey — 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. // Looking for a fun experience for your child now that school’s out? Want to escape the summer heat? Join us at the Sid Richardson Museum for the kid-friendly film Homeward Bound, telling the story of three pets who are left behind when their family goes on vacation, and the lengths they will go to in order to find their family. 

June 19

Monday Matinees: Toy Story 2 — 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. // Come to the Sid Richardson Museum and join Buzz Lightyear and friends as they try to save Woody from a man who has taken him for a valuable collector’s item. Movie snacks will be provided, and after the film join us for a fun gallery activity.
