My husband and I made the decision not to let our kids watch TV, unless the Dallas Cowboys or Liverpool are playing, of course. We are fully aware that at some point, they will watch TV, but until we get there, we will ride this out as long as possible. Now that summer is here, school is out, and classes have slowed down, I am always on the lookout for different screen-free things to fill up our time.
There are a lot of local things that you can do in the city of Fort Worth. Here are a few of my personal favorites:
Splash Pads – Check out what Fort Worth Mom’s Blog posted a few weeks ago with all of the splash pads in the metroplex.
Fort Worth Zoo – This place is rated one of the top in the country, and we are so lucky to have it in our backyard.
Children’s Museum – Kids of all ages will enjoy their time here. There is so much to do.
