Easter Intervention: Baskets, Outfits, Sanity

2

Easter is truly a joyful day, and one of incredibly meaningful celebration. To help plan for the holiday, I’m working on my family’s Easter outfits for church and family lunch. We’re also trying to be a little greener this year by watering and watching our all-natural Easter grass grow before we harvest it for our basket. I’m also stocking up on a few simple, special items to include in the basket like Trader Joe’s jelly beans (that contain no artificial flavors/colors) and a few books such as God Gave Us Easter, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, and Green Eggs and Ham. This year, for a sweet surprise, I plan to have the ear of our beloved Jellycat Bunny monogrammed (similar: here). Jellycat bunnies are already one of the most darling stuffed animals, and the idea of a monogrammed ear is so completely precious to me.

What makes her smile is the heady aroma of that first cup of morning coffee, the opportunity to be creative, consuming mid-afternoon hunks of dark chocolate, seeing her sons smile, and feeling the down-to-the-bone joy that is motherhood. Outside of what seems like daily trips to Central Market or Trader Joe's, she is likely to also be found sitting crisscross on a colorful rug at a story time, strolling the Fort Worth Zoo or at home gardening the pots on her front porch, also known as her living room.
