Deep down, I know I made the right choice . . . people have to come before pets. But, it will be a long time before I recover emotionally from losing our sweet pup.

Operation Kindness – North Texas’ original and largest no-kill animal care and adoption center – invites the community to gather their furry friends and come out to Operation Kindness’ Dog Day Afternoon. The annual event is the largest festival in Dallas-Fort Worth celebrating dogs and the people who love them, and will be hosted at the Operation Kindness campus in Carrollton.
This year’s free event, sponsored by Pet Supplies Plus, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006. Admission and parking are free. Highlights include vendors selling pet-related merchandise, canine contests, free microchipping for the first 125 dogs, free “Ask the Vet” tent, low-cost pet vaccines by Texas Coalition for Animal Protection, Kona Ice, pet psychic communicator Sandra Larson, photo booth, sweet tea and lemonade provided by Raising Cane’s and PopStar Popsicles.
