November 18

Pumpkin Spice 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon
Fort Worth

Visit the link for event details like the pumpkin pie eating contest, fall costume contest, afterparty, swag, and more. This one will be at Panther Island Pavilion.


November 18 – 19

Prairie Lights Sneak-A-Peek 5K
Grand Prairie

Be the first to see the displays at Prairie Lights as you run, jog, walk, or stroll through the park. November 18 will be for runners, joggers and fast walkers. November 19 is for those who want to walk the course. See link for costume contest info!


November 23

YMCA Turkey Trot
Fort Worth

The 42nd annual Thanksgiving-Day event includes a 1K, 5K, and 10K on Camp Bowie. Check the website for registration information, course maps, FAQs, and more.


December 9

Reindeer Romp 
Fort Worth

This year marks the 16th annual Reindeer Romp at Alliance Airport, with proceeds benefiting Northwest ISD. There will be a 5K and one-mile fun run, plus live reindeer, hot chocolate, and maybe even a Disney character or two.


December 16

Frozen River Run
Flower Mound

Get a t-shirt (and bragging rights) if you brave the water temperatures of the CAC’s outdoor river and pool, or enjoy some hot cocoa and treats from the sidelines. A parent or guardian must accompany those 17 and under. Registration is not required.


December 17

Santa 5K
Fort Worth

As usual, there will be 5Ks for members of the Fort Worth Runners Club and non-members in Trinity Park this morning. The free 1K for kids begins at 7:45 a.m. The 5K run/race for each group begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.


January 20

Camp Classic Trail Run at Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro
Granbury

Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or just getting started, there’s something for everyone at this 5K, 10K, and Kids 1K Fun Run benefitting Camp Fire First Texas. Upgrade with a gourmet dinner by Chef Jon Bonnell, or enjoy the beautiful scenery for even longer with a cozy cabin overnight camp stay. 


February 17 – 19

Dalmatian Run Fest and Dizzy Dalmatian 101
Fort Worth

You have several race events to choose from this President’s Day weekend at Marine Creek Lake, from 5K to half-marathon to combo runs over the course of the weekend. Benefits the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection.


February 23 – 25

Cowtown Marathon
Fort Worth

Yes, this is “the marathon,” but there are a number of associated running events this weekend: half-marathon, ultra-marathon, Healthy HIG Relay, kids 5K, and adult 5K and 10K. See the link for dates and details depending on which run you’re doing.
