The weather may have started warming in the beginning of February, but March marks the official beginning of SPRING! Flowers are blooming, the days are a little brighter, and you can put those coats away. (Were they ever out?) So take a break from spring cleaning and take your kids out to do something fun! There is lots going on this month from new attractions at Legoland, to lots of different arts events. Go outside and enjoy the spring weather!

Cowtown Coliseum’s – Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show!! — Every Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. // Round up your kids and enjoy a reenactment of the original Pawnee Bill’s Wild West show! Fun for the entire family featuring animals, spectacular performers with ropes, bullwhips, pistols, and even a singing cowboy.

March 1 – 18

Artisan Children’s Theater Presents: Fancy Nancy the Musical — 5:00 p.m. Fridays; 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Saturdays; and 12:00 p.m. Tuesdays // Fancy Nancy, the girl who loves everything fancy, comes to the Artisan Children’s Theater. Kids and parents alike will love Fancy Nancy the Musical.

March 1 – 5

The LEGO® Americana Roadshow: Building Across America — Every day from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. // Ten of America’s landmarks come to life in large-scale models made completely out of LEGO® bricks.

March 4 – 5

Ninth Annual Funky Finds Spring Fling! – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. // Come support more than 100 local artisans, craftsman, and gourmet food makers at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. There will also be a charitable raffle, and all proceeds will go to the Human Society of North Texas.

March 16 – 19

Fort Worth Boat Expo 2017 — 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday; 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday // Come see hundreds of new 2017 boat models at the Amon G. Carter – William Rogers Exhibit Hall.

March 31 – April 1

“Hold Me Tight” – Conversations for Connection — 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday; 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. // Based on the book Hold Me Tight, 7 Conversations for a Lifetime of Love by Sue Johnson, the workshop provides education about the science of love and attachment, how we sometimes become disconnected in our relationships, and how to improve emotional connection and intimacy.

March 3

Two New Attractions – Legoland Discovery Center — 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. // Let your kids test their ninja skills to the test to become a Spinjitzu Master and save Ninjago City. 

March 4

The Dallas Opera Presents The Three Little Pigs — 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. // See the classic fable come to life as the three little piggies do their best to keep the big bad wolf at bay.

March 7

Ticket sales launch for Mom & Me Discover Date5:00 a.m. // Be the first to snag tickets to the very first Mom & Me event of the year. On April 5, Fort Worth Moms Blog will descend upon the Amon Carter Museum of Modern Art for an exclusive story time, craft projects, giveaways, and stellar swag! March 11

Backyard Composting — 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. // As Earth Day draws nearer, teach your young kids about the importance of keeping the Earth green through composting at the River Legacy Living Science Center. 

March 25

Dallas Opera Presents Bastien and Bastienne — 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. // Discover the story of a young shepherd and shepherdess with very similar names who fall in love. Come see the opera Mozart wrote when he was just 12 years old!
