FallReady to celebrate fall with pumpkins, corn mazes, and more? Come and join the fun that farmers Josh and Ashley Ritchey envisioned back in 2011. Growing watermelons and cantelopes started creating challenges for the farmers, and they were forced to come up with a new plan. Having some land in Stephenville, they dreamed up Lone Star Family Farm, and the dream became a reality in October 2013.

Lone Star Family Farm is full of family fun. Here, you’ll find a six-acre, giant corn maze, mini corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, hay bale maze (perfect for little ones), hay bale pyramid for climbing, corn and sand pits, and more. You can even race your friends down the side-by-side slides at the top of the hay bale mountain. New to the farm this year are the cow train and corn cannons.

The giant corn maze is always a huge draw as each year its theme changes. For 2016, the theme is “Texas Connects Us,” the catchy slogan you have heard on NBC Channel 5 (the official sponsor of the maze this year).

Only have little ones in the family? Lone Star has even its tiniest visitor covered with the mini maze and hay bale maze.Corn Maze

The farm also offers Flashlight Nights and campfires for groups. Bring your flashlight and take a shot at navigating the giant corn maze once the sun goes down. After the maze, you can bring your group for a private campfire and s’mores. Spaces are limited so call to reserve.

Little ones will love playing in the corn and sand pits and meeting all the friendly farm animals. Ever wanted to lasso a horse? Try your hand at being a ranch hand with roping dummies and stick horses.

In addition to a wide array of pumpkins and gourds of various sizes and shapes, the farm offers fall decorations for sale as well, including hay bales, corn stalk bundles, Indian corn, and other fall and Halloween decorations. Put together, they provide the perfect back drop for some family pictures.

You’re sure to work up a hunger between all the fun, so take a break in the picnic area and grab a snack and drink from the on-site concession stand.

Have a group of 20 or more? Lone Star is also an ideal attraction for school, church, or scouting groups. Located in Stephenville, the farm is the perfect distance from Fort Worth for a day trip. Click here to find out more about how Lone Star would love to host your group’s next outing.
