Fort Worth’s Top 20 on Instagram

Are you on Instagram?

It’s been my go-to, five-minute relaxation tool for awhile. Call me crazy, but it’s calming to just scroll through the pretty pictures in between tasks, as a reward for a tough workout, or at the end of naptime. Even though I know they might be staged (since I admittedly do a fair amount of staging myself), it’s a nice way to unwind.

Instagram has also provided me with some fun Fort Worth finds, and I love learning more about our local spots.

FWMB_Insta3So here are the top 20 Fort Worth Instagram accounts worth following:

First up — your own Fort Worth Moms Blog (@fwmomsblog)! I’ll throw in a shameless plug right off the bat. It’s a great way to keep up with us in another arena, get a peek into our contributors’ lives on takeover days, and remind you of a post you might have missed.

Speaking of things you might have missed, I’ve come to rely on Shop Small Fort Worth (@shopsmallfortworth) and The Scout Guide (@thescoutguidefw) to give me a heads-up about cool local businesses that are too often off my radar. And their pictures are always on point.

If you’re looking for more eye candy, Fort Worthwhile (@fortworthwhile), Fort Worth (@ftworthtexas), and Visit Fort Worth (@visitfortworth) are my three favorites for fantastic Cowtown shots. That last one is actually the official account of the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, and, for more on the official end of things, Mayor Price (@mayorbetsyprice) and the Fort Worth ISD (@fortworthisd) are two other informational, yet interesting, accounts to keep an eye on for happenings around the city.

Many of the city’s main attractions you might expect are part of the Instagram fun as well: the Fort Worth Zoo (@fortworthzoo), the Botanic Garden (@fort_worth_botanic_garden), the Stockyards (@fortworthstockyards), the Symphony Orchestra (@ftworthsymphony), and the Museum of Science and History (@fwmsh).

It’s always worth it to do a quick search for your own favorite spots too. You can find daily fitness inspiration from places like Pure Barre Fort Worth (@purebarreftworth) and Indigo Yoga (@indigoyoga), inside-the-business features from spots like University Car Wash (@universitycarwash) and the Wag Canine Emporium (@cowtownwag), and drool-worthy food shots from Melt (@melticecreams), Sweet Sammies (@sweetsammies), and Steel City Pops (@steelcitypopsfw). (Notice a theme with my favorite restaurants?)

The local businesses I follow are motivating, generous to their customers, and often downright funny. Also, you never know when they’ll host an Instasale or offer exclusive deals for their followers.

This Fort Worth woman (along with several of our team members) would love to connect with you on Instagram as well!
