Tales and Tunes (Fort Worth), Wednesday, July 1, 2015 \ 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.: Monkey and Dog Books and Mistletoe Musikgarten present “Parade Day for Patriotic People,” a storytime, music, and movement. This event is free but requires reservation.

Light Up Arlington! Fireworks (Levitt Pavilion Arlington), Friday, July 3, 2015 \ Vendors and activities at 6:00 p.m.: Listen to a variety of live music while waiting for fireworks at 9:45 p.m. This event is free.

Roanoke’s 3rd Rocks Independence Day Celebration (Roanoke), Friday, July 3, 2015 \ Vendors and activities at 6:00 p.m.: Features bounce houses, rock climbing wall, train rides, fireworks, food, music, and more. This event is free.

Mansfield’s Rockin’ 4th of July (Mansfield), Friday, July 3, 2015 \ 7:00 p.m.: Celebrate Independence Day on the 3rd at Big League Dreams Mansfield Sports Park with rock ‘n’ roll, food, family activities, and fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. This event is free.

July 4th Fest Presented by Coke (Six Flags in Arlington), Friday, July 3, 2015; Saturday, July 4, 2015; and Sunday, July 5, 2015: Bring a can of Coke or season pass for early entry. Each night will feature a fireworks and laser show around 9:45 p.m. Admission costs vary.

Stars & Stripes (Southlake), Friday, July 3, 2015 \ 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Kids will love the KidZone, the balloon artists, candy art making, strolling characters, craft station, and live entertainment. A 1943 Douglas A-26 Invader bomber plane will also be flying during the ceremony. This event is free.

Events on the Fourth of July

FireworksArlington 4th of July Parade (Click here for Parade Route), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ 9:00 a.m.: Find a spot early and enjoy this two-hour patriotic parade that covers two miles through downtown Arlington and the College Park District. Each year, about 70,000 people come view this well-attended parade. This event is free.

Also in Arlington, Texas Rangers Post-Game Fireworks Show (Rangers Ballpark), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ Game starts at 8:05 p.m.: Rangers vs. Angels. Ticket prices vary.

Burleson Lions Club 4th of July Parade (Burleson), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ 9:00 a.m.: The 11th annual event is organized by Burleson Lions Charitable Programs, Inc. This event is free.

Also, later in the day in Burleson is its Independence Day Al Nelson Concert & Fireworks, Saturday, July 4, 2015. The 90-minute concert, featuring Al Nelson, starts at 7:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks show set to patriotic music, which is scheduled to start near 9:00 p.m. This event is free.

Stockyards Fourth of July Celebration (Fort Worth), Saturday, July 4, 2015: Free family fun including cattle drives, live music, gunshot fights, and face painting. This event is free.

Fort Worth’s Fourth (Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ Gates open at 2:00 p.m.:  Kidszone includes pony rides, bounce houses, zip line, watersides, and more. Festival fare, live music, tubing, jet ski and flyboard shows, and fireworks at 10:00 p.m. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged, but coolers are not. General admission is free.

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (Botanic Garden in Fort Worth), Thursday, July 2, 2015; Friday, July 3, 2015; and Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ 8:15 p.m.: Bring the family out for a picnic on the lawn as you listen to patriotic marches, military salutes, and a fireworks show to conclude the evening. Tickets range from $22.00 – $50.00.

4thFEST Independence Day Celebration (Bedford), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ Food Court opens at 4:00 p.m. with Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.: Live music, a variety of family friendly activities, festival food and a fireworks show round out this event. This event is free, but some activities, parking and shuttle, and Bedford Splash Water Park charge a fee.

July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza (Lake Grapevine), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.: This 45-minute fireworks show can be viewed from any lakeside location. Some parks along Lake Grapevine may charge a minimal admission fee.

Northeast Tarrant County’s Annual Family 4th Celebration (North Richland Hills), Saturday, July 4, 2015 \ 5:00 p.m.: Food, fun and family-friendly entertainment will start at 5 p.m., with a fireworks display beginning around 9:30 p.m. (sponsored by partner cities: Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Watauga).

Hurst Stars & Stripes (Hurst), Saturday, July 4, 2015: Children’s area is open 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. Enjoy live music, followed by a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. at this 13th annual event. This event is free. (Tip from a FWMB contributor: if you sit near Pipeline Road & Precinct Line Road in Hurst, you can see three shows in one evening!)
